Quick Update - Aug 26

Hey everyone so had some good experiences this week SO this week we have been teaching this group of friends around ages 25-35 and they have been super awesome. They all have a little background with the church but they are some of the nicest guys I've met since I've been in Baguio. I don't have a picture yet, but we are good friends with them.  It is really awesome to teach them the gospel and about faith. They have been busy with work but they want to come play ball with us and the elders quorum and then come to church on Sunday.  Its fun to be a missionary because it just gives you the excuse to talk to people about their lives and we actually had three people this week tell us their whole life story to us about their family, and struggles. It is so awesome to meet a humble person that is so ready to hear the good news about Jesus Christ and His atonement. Update - Sept 1

Hey everyone, this week was good! definitely seeing the blessings in the area.  We went down to the mission home in San Fernando on Thursday for Elder Baylon's 4 week follow up training. Crazy how fast time goes, felt like yesterday I went down there to pick him up. We slept at the AP's house. Always a fun time, except the bedroom with aircon was full so we got shafted that night. So hard to sleep even when you get two fans blowing on you. I guess thats what Baguio does to you. It's gonna be a struggle when I get transferred to the low lands again. So hot there. 4 week follow up training was good, we had burger kind, didn't even know they had that in the Peens. President Oldroyd is a beauty I learned tons from him. He really teaches with the spirit.  We had a ward party on Saturday, the ward is super fun. We played games and had food. We left early because we had an appointment. Bagong Taon, Bagong Buhay

Lol, whats up everyone. This week we experienced New Years in the Philippines, which was a little crazy (as expected). We live close to the crossing road to Baguio so there was really bad traffic to get around. Fireworks going off all day, little kids making fires and lighting things off. Everyone doing Karaoke and drinking all day. Really funny. All the teenage girls here are obsessed with the Korean culture, and they all practice their dances to their songs. Its hilarious. My comp always tells them hes from Korea lol.  So New Years eve I ate Balot again at a members house during dinner. It was pretty nasty but I didn't throw up so that was good. Besides that the food here is incredible, I'm really starting to like it. Except for the snacks, all their snacks are just cheesy something or buttery something, but all fake stuff.
