MTC Week 2

Hello everyone!!

So this week was super good but it feels like I've been here for 2 years. Each day is really busy and there's never enough time to do it all. The language is super stressful because our teachers expect a lot of us. We have to memorize so many things each day and then personal study and companion study. But its really good because the days go by fast (kind of).

Sunday was just crazy because we had to prepare a talk in our language we're learning, and then they randomly choose two people to speak. I copied my talk from Elder Cooper, who is in my room because I had no time to prepare it lol. So I didn't even know what it said. Luckily i wasn't chosen.
Monday we had our first NRC which was teaching a member a lesson. I was pretty under prepared but they went pretty well. It's funny because they answer you and then you don't know what they said so you just say "Mabuti!!" lol its pretty chill though.

Tuesday we had our devotional with Gifford Nielson of the Seventy who I believe was in Calgary this summer!! He gave a crazy good talk and I learned how important missionary work is and how many lives are affected by it.

SO turns out Tagalog is way harder than I thought.  The tenses and the verbs are so weird. They don't exactly use the latin alphabet which is fun. But it's fun once you get the hang of it. One of my teachers said that Chinese is 5/5 hard and Tagalog is 4/5 hard. and then Spanish at 1/5 which is weird to me.

We do service on Wednesday and I cleaned all the toilets in a residency haha. Wednesday was the worst day I've had here and it really wasn't that bad.

I leave for the Manila MTC in 2 weeks or 3 weeks depending on transfers and stuff. And then no matter what I'll be in the Baguio City on November 21st. I'm so excited to call at the airport and eat normal food. And I heard the Manila MTC is really new. Oh also, the sickest thing here are the new buildings. It's crazy nice and the murals around are so cool. I appreciate it so much and makes it feel like less of a prison. Anyway it's really busy today so I'll try my best to email all those that emailed me :)

Love you all

Elder Garry
