Hello, everyone!! This week was good (kinda). Really suck at Tagalog still!! But anyway the highlight was Christmas Conference in Baguio. Had to get up at 4:30 am to drive up there. I met an Elder named Chan Boon from Australia that knows Tommy Dickson, because Tommy served in his ward. Pretty funny. Baguio is the coolest city I've ever seen, and not very hot. It's like your average summer day In Calgs. Feels similar, soooo many people there. Christmas con was sweet, President is hilarious and so nice to us. Really nice break from sweating my can off everyday in Sison.
The rest of the week was aight, It's hard sometimes, I can talk to people and its really frustrating sometimes, hard to adjust to Missionary life and Filipino life at the same time. But theres for sure benefits. My comp is awesome, can't complain.
Sunday we watched the Christmas devotional. Music was so good and the talks really helped me out. Super applicable. I loved the sisters talk about trying our best even when we fall short. God knows we aren't perfect but he want us to try our best. I frickin love Christmas time so much and the time we get to think of our Saviour. So much love and joy. I miss snow and Canada so much. And it's messed that the Flames are first in the West. What the heck. Super happy about that.
Philippines is awesome, people here are so kind and give me coke. Already love them, their language is just weird haha, but I have faith that I will get the hang of it one of these days. Still got lots of time to learn :) But its honestly been fast, feels like I was just writing last week.
Sorry for the short email. got like no time :/
Love you :) \
Elder Garry
