Maliganyang Pasko :)

Maligayang Pasko everyone!! I hope everyone is having an awesome Christmas, really my fav time of year. So happy. This Christmas was one I'll remember for the rest of my life. We had follow up training in San Fernando for me because I hit 4 weeks in the field! It's gone by fast!! So we stayed the night at the Zone Leaders house in Demertis to split up our trip. Their house has aircon and is massive. I thought our house in Sison was nice, but their house was sick and had this huge living room and couches. San Fernando was fun and I saw my Batch (missionaries I came in with) and saw my old comps. Hahaha, good times.

Christmas eve (yesterday) was pretty chill, we had a curfew at 7. We went to a Brother King's house (recent convert) for dinner and played games for the kids. Super fun and they made SO much food. Like Pansit, all these types of Chicken, salad, spring rolls, watermelon. Super good. Brother King's family members have the funniest names. His first name is Hari (which means 'King' in Tagalog) so his name is King King haha. And then he named his first son 'Handsome' hahahaha and then his daughters name is 'Queen'. I thought it was a joke at first but nope. This country is truly the funniest place ever. Just how everything works, what people do, how they socialize, their facial expressions. I love it so much. I'm having a lot of fun. All the famous people on TV are Transgender, its so wack hahah.  They're all men dressed like women. It's kind of scary.

Anyway I'm a terrible emailer because I can't ever remember the other things we did this week. Merry Christmas everyone, even though I'm missing out on everything back at home, I'm still happy, and I'm not just saying that, I really see how blessed I am in my life at home.  I was given so much back in Canada. People don't have very much here, but they are the most humble and kind people I've ever met. They still find so much joy in the Christmas season and that really opened my eyes. Feeling super blessed right now to be on this mission. I've only been here for 1 month now but my whole perspective has changed. I hope you all are happy this Christmas, you can be happy anywhere you are, its just a matter of your attitude. I don't wanna sound all cheesy haha but its true. Love you all, Merry Christmas!!!
