So Hot

What a week. First of all, it's freaking hot. Everyone carries sweat rags for a reason. Like yesterday, we got home from Church and it was probably 35 degrees in our house. Fan only blows the hot air on you lol. My skin is sticky all the time. But the nights are so nice, just perfect temp. So it has its pros. 

I met a couple of Canadians! We live beside this International school, and there are tons of Nigerian students there, and one night when we were walking we met this black guy and he told us he's from Edmonton! Crazy so we talked for a little bit and he's been living here in the Peens for about 5 years. I asked him if English was his native language and he said yes and its the only language he knows. His english was so bad though, I think its because he was super high and couldn't speak. 

Dogs here are so gross I feel bad for them:(  They either have flees, or super skinny and tied up, just roaming around everywhere. They bark so much too, its hard to teach sometimes cause they're so loud. There was also a Holiday here so everyone and their doge was trying to get to Baguio city. They got so many cops and soldiers on the streets carrying around assault rifles. There were no jeepneys to use to get around so we walked so much to get to our appointments.

Everyone owns a little store outside their house, and a lot of the time when were are teaching they have to go sell something and then come back and listen. We never setup appointments because people will always say they're busy over text, so we just show up at their house and they invite us in. 

So many BBQ places so Elder Provido and I eat a lot, and its crazy cheap. My favourite is the chicken intestine, so delicious. 

Tagalog is still so hard but it's getting better each day. Everyone always laughs when I try to say something. My trainer told me just to love them and the rest will follow. I have a lot to be happy about. I could really use a fresh cold wind rn, but its alright. Missing the snow this December :(
