Just a sold week bud

Hello everyone Another killer week in the peens. The Philippines is beautiful and the people are too, really precious humans. 
Our neighbour died this week, pretty sad, she was really old though. I didn't know funerals lasted a week long though. The old lady was really sick for a long time, I think it was her time. 
Proselyting has gotten a lot better for me, I'm starting to enjoy it more, and realized how selfish I have been to study as long as I can before I go out lol, but as the language and my teaching skills have improved, I have come to like it. On Tuesday we were walking to on of our "peoples" house and right as they saw us coming they bolted inside, closed the door and turned off the lights. So funny I started laughing so hard at how poor they were at being sneaky. We were like 10 metres away from them. Kinda sad though, we are just two young kids trying to help you, and we sure do walk a long way to talk to you. It's alright though, It wasn't too bad, just funny. 
But our other people we have been teaching are really progressing, We have a baptism this week for our guy Salvador, he's 21 and shy. His girlfriend was baptized in October. So hopefully it works out. He loves smoking though, he's been trying to quit. We have other people that are like 14 that come to church all the time, funny how much easier it is to get the young people to church rather than the old people. 
I'm getting more used to being a missionary and understanding my purpose more and more each day. At the beginning I had no idea what was going on, and I was just going through the motions. Even now, its feels weird to be here. Like this week we were eating at this restaurant and eating clams, seaweed and shrimp and it was super good, and then this soldier just come in with the M16 and it was just super normal for everyone. Culture is a cool thing, I feel like "Asian Mexico" is a good description for the Peens. I've gotten used to living here and am really enjoying it. Funniest thing is when the kids talk to us and are eating something and just chuck their wrappers right there wherever they are. Hahaha makes me laugh every time cause everyone does it. No wonder its so dirty. 
We went hiking today for P-day, the mountains here are cool and of course theres tons of people that live on top of the mountain as well. Could've guessed that. We kinda got lost and were hiking for like 4 hours lol. Luckily we got a ride back to the high way by some guy, the people are the best here. 

No doubt it's hard though, but it's supposed to be hard. I really saw blessings this week, with the language and the people we are teaching. I know things just take time. 
I also feel a lot closer to Jesus Christ this week, the "Come Follow Me" book is really killer. He really is the way to a happy life. Whenever our life kinda sucks or is really good, we can always turn to him. I know that He lives. Miss you all, hope the freezing weather hasn't been killing you too much this week :)

Hey everyone! This was a solid week for me and Elder Fillo! We started this week out doing exchanges with our district leader and it was a great day. We had a fun time biking to the far areas and meeting some interesting people. One girl we met had a bunch of "text mates" we watched her facetime them and their all in Pakistan and India hahah one guy was like 50 and driving some weird bike in India and she was talking to him for some reason. None of my business I guess. We taught her the restoration and she found it interesting that we would come so far to just share a message with no salary./ hahah I understood why she thought it was weird. Then Wednesday we had some more exchanges with my guy Elder McAllister. His personality reminds me of Carson. A really good guy. New Area!

Hey everyone! So I got transferred out of Baguio finally :( Super sad to leave that area because I was there for almost 6 months. But I expected to be transferred. So now I went down to the lowlands. To Bauang which is the next zone over from my first zone in Agoo. Just north of it.  But before I left I had the chance of watching Anthony Fajardo get baptized. We had met Anthony on the street in July and he had a bunch of questions about God and Heavenly Father and after teaching him for 1 month, he came to church and accepted to be baptized. And the Sunday before I left he got baptized. It was one of the best days on my mission. Watching Anthony get up to bear his testimony that He knows that Jesus Christ lives and that God has restored his church through a prophet was the best thing in the world. No time, no pics

Got like no time to talk about this week, but it was solid. Went on Exchanges, on Wednesday with Elder Cluff from Utah. It was something, just two white guys that don't know Tagalog trying to talk to people. It tested me so that was good. I really need to prepare myself for when I have to lead an area.  One time this week we were teaching this fam and the fam has tons of kids and in the middle of our lesson, all the kids got naked and were bathing with a bucket and scoop beside the pump. There was probs like 15 kids running around naked. SO it was pretty distracting. Hahaha made me think "where the heck am I right now", anyways Christmas time here is crazy, theres this huge Fiesta in Sison and it felt like a Filipino stampede haha. It was sweet though they have rides and food and tons of things to buy.
