Aso Eating - March 31, 2019

Yo whats up everyone so this week was good. SO this week me and my comp are getting a long well. We played some basketball, and helped the other elders moved apartments. ate some dog... my comp Elder Llena is a chill. The members here are in Sison are so awesome. I love each of them. I can't believe I'll be here in Sison for 1 quarter of my mission, but I think I'll miss it here when I get transferred.

So yeah this week we went to a members house for a birthday party with a bunch of people. We were eating some fish and rice and then some other guys brought some other meat to the table. I asked them what it was and they replied "baka" which is cow in Tagalog and then so I started eating it and it was a chewy. I felt like it wasn't really cow but something else. I asked them again and they said, "baka... baka aso" "baka" is also "maybe" in Tagalog. so he said "maybe dog" freak they totally pranked me. But don't worry I repented after.

We went to this less active members house for a special sacrament because he had a stroke a couple years ago so he can't come to church. After we started and singing hymns for this tatay, I had a super spiritual experience as we sang and prepared the sacrament for him. Its crazy how much I realized I love this church and this gospel. And how strong the spirit can be no matter where you are in the world. We are sitting in this home, and everything is so 3rd world. Its crazy how much I've learned being here for 4 and a half months. I love this work and the Philippines so much.

love u all
