Baguio Time Baby!
Hey everyone, sorry I didn't email last week, but I got transferred! I'm finally in my second area! Only 1 hour away in the mountains in Baguio City. My new comp is Elder Harvey from West Valley Utah. They have a sick skate park there. But yeah he just finished his training so I'm his follow up trainer. He's super funny though. He's hardworking and we have gotten along really well in the first week.
Our apartment and area are so dope, it feels like a different mission up here. They have pretty much anything, and tons of different food to choose from. We have kabahay (roommates) 2 pinos and they're awesome. We couldn't proselyte yesterday because of the election. So today was our P-day. But last week was dope and I said bye to all my people in Sison. I love that place and the members there. Gonna miss it.
The city is just up and down so we take stairs everywhere. Hopefully my calfs will get bigger this transfer. We don't have to use fans at night because its pretty cold. We have a water heater for our showers. It's unreal here I can see why people wanna serve here. It rained but it was like 20 degrees everyday so just perfect. Elder Harvey and I worked hard and we taught quite a few people even though we got rejected. The proselyting is a lot different here than down in the lowlands, but I know there are people that are ready for the gospel.
One funny story we had was at this nanay's house that we were teaching and she had a bunch of grandchildren and this one kid started throwing a huge fit over this lego man they were fighting over. He was so mad he fell to the ground and peed himself. Me and my comp couldn't help it hahaha.
The members here are dope. I met this couple at church and they were touring their mission because they both served here. Turns out the guy was from Okotoks haha. Small world. He served in the Baguio Mission like 4 years ago. The rest of the members are awesome and my bishop speaks super good English - a lot of people in Baguio do. They just grow up learning it. Anyway , super excited for this week, feels like all the hardships and stuff in my first area were all worth it now.
Miss u all

My MTC comp Elder Cooper took my place in Sison which is hilarious. I hope he'll like it down there, I just feel bad cause its hard to get water. But yeah, then the bus ride up to Baguio was beautiful and I met my comp there.
