[Short e-mail from Aidan this week, he is being transferred so had limited time]



Hey Fam:

I’m headed to Baguio City!! Burnham park, which is at the heart of the city and the most popular park in the city, it’s pretty well known.  I heard that tons of people speak english, but I still want to improve my Tagalog so I’ll work on it. This is the area that all the missionaries in my mission hope to go to!!

I have that talk by Tad R Callister!! about the BofM and how it was either man made or god given.  Tons of evidence. I know it comes from god because I’ve felt the power of the testimonies of the prophets.  There could be so much historical evidence about it to make it true but it really goes down to: I have felt that it is true and Jospeh Smith is a prophet because of the spirit that I’ve felt.  Hard to explain a little bit. 

The saviour and his teaching give us so much purpose and meaning in life, I sometimes don't understand how people don’t get that.  We had one guy this week and he had lots of questions about god and Jospeh Smith.  He told us about how he doesn’t know if he thinks god is real anymore because he has prayed so much, and tons of problems always come up.  He has terrible back pain and spasms and has been going to therapy for a while. It was hard to explain to him that sometimes life is hard and god gives us trials to help us become stronger.  We shared Ether 12:24, but too bad I’m getting transferred so I won’t be able to see the results the next couple of visits.

Hey everyone! This was a solid week for me and Elder Fillo! We started this week out doing exchanges with our district leader and it was a great day. We had a fun time biking to the far areas and meeting some interesting people. One girl we met had a bunch of "text mates" we watched her facetime them and their all in Pakistan and India hahah one guy was like 50 and driving some weird bike in India and she was talking to him for some reason. None of my business I guess. We taught her the restoration and she found it interesting that we would come so far to just share a message with no salary./ hahah I understood why she thought it was weird. Then Wednesday we had some more exchanges with my guy Elder McAllister. His personality reminds me of Carson. A really good guy. He's from Australia and one of the coolest I've met in the mish. He has been struggling a little bit with his comp and so it was nice to focus on him and what he has been learning on his missi...

New Area!

Hey everyone! So I got transferred out of Baguio finally :( Super sad to leave that area because I was there for almost 6 months. But I expected to be transferred. So now I went down to the lowlands. To Bauang which is the next zone over from my first zone in Agoo. Just north of it.  But before I left I had the chance of watching Anthony Fajardo get baptized. We had met Anthony on the street in July and he had a bunch of questions about God and Heavenly Father and after teaching him for 1 month, he came to church and accepted to be baptized. And the Sunday before I left he got baptized. It was one of the best days on my mission. Watching Anthony get up to bear his testimony that He knows that Jesus Christ lives and that God has restored his church through a prophet was the best thing in the world. No time, no pics

Got like no time to talk about this week, but it was solid. Went on Exchanges, on Wednesday with Elder Cluff from Utah. It was something, just two white guys that don't know Tagalog trying to talk to people. It tested me so that was good. I really need to prepare myself for when I have to lead an area.  One time this week we were teaching this fam and the fam has tons of kids and in the middle of our lesson, all the kids got naked and were bathing with a bucket and scoop beside the pump. There was probs like 15 kids running around naked. SO it was pretty distracting. Hahaha made me think "where the heck am I right now", anyways Christmas time here is crazy, theres this huge Fiesta in Sison and it felt like a Filipino stampede haha. It was sweet though they have rides and food and tons of things to buy.
