Bowling
Hey everyone!! So this week was good. Had quite a bit of rain, it has been raining for two weeks now. But it finally stopped the other day. Then it just gets hot when there are no clouds.
Work was pretty good, we have a lot of new investigators. It's just hard to find the people that are so ready. Most tell us another time and then the people that do let us in, just feel like they're doing a good thing by listening to the word of God. Then they like the reminder that God loves us and through Jesus Christ we are saved. That's why I always ask them why they think there are so many different beliefs. It usually strikes up a conversation and then we share. Works pretty well most of the time.
My trainee Elder Baylon is awesome, couldn't ask for a better comp. He is willing to learn and is so skilled already. We have a good time together. Training has helped me focus on our purpose as missionaries and focus on myself on how I can be better. I still have so many things to improve on. Felt like I've grown so much since I first arrived in the mission.
Our one investigator Jerry wanted to come to church, but ran into some problems in the morning and wasn't able to go. We visited him last night and he told us about his dream he had on Saturday night, where me and elder Baylon where waiting at church for him, and we were dressed all in white.
It was kinda weird but so cool, he said he promised he will come to church this Sunday. The rest of the week was okay, our other investigators are doing alright, I think I need to move on to other investigators faster. That's my prob, I just hate dropping people, 'cause I think about my investigator in my first area that took so long to be converted. It just hard to know who has the potential of being converted.
Sometimes it's hard to do the same thing everyday, especially when people don't want anything to do with you, or you get told "next time" at every appointment but I've built such a strong testimony and I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I feel so happy and blessed with the things I know. :)
Anyway, summer is almost over and the mission goes by too fast :/ Miss all of you. Take care.
Love you all :)
Elder Garry
