MTC Halfway (almost)

Lol, whats up everyone. This week was pretty killer and I learned a lot. It's finally warm here so we can finally study and hangout outside. I love my Baguio Boys. Elder Cooper and Elder Tomlin are the best roommates for me and Elder Jewett. We all get a long so well, and other Elders from our district complain about their companions and their rooms to us lol. Elder Tomlin from the Baguio boys is getting reassigned due to health issues, but he'll always be a Baguio boy at heart. We'll find out today where he is getting reassigned to. Elder Jewett, Elder Cooper and I could possibly be put into a trio for the rest of our time here.  So Chris Mero works in the MTC kitchen and he hooked me up with In n out on Monday night. So many elders were jealous when i was eating it was hilarious. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it though. I shared some with Elder Jewett :) Elder Soares from the Quorum of the Twelve came and spoke to us. He came to our Devotional Tuesd...

MTC Week 2

Hello everyone!!  So this week was super good but it feels like I've been here for 2 years. Each day is really busy and there's never enough time to do it all. The language is super stressful because our teachers expect a lot of us. We have to memorize so many things each day and then personal study and companion study. But its really good because the days go by fast (kind of). Sunday was just crazy because we had to prepare a talk in our language we're learning, and then they randomly choose two people to speak. I copied my talk from Elder Cooper, who is in my room because I had no time to prepare it lol. So I didn't even know what it said. Luckily i wasn't chosen.  Monday we had our first NRC which was teaching a member a lesson. I was pretty under prepared but they went pretty well. It's funny because they answer you and then you don't know what they said so you just say "Mabuti!!" lol its pretty chill though.  Tuesday we had our dev...

MTC Week 1

Hello everyone!! To all my friends on missions can you guys add me to your list of weekly emails? Ok thanks. This was my first real week at the MTC and it kinda feels like I've been here for a year. Time goes by slow and I feel like I'm always reading something or eating in the cafeteria. It's pretty repetitive but the people here make it so fun. I've grown so close to my District and my roommates. We do everything together, and I laugh so hard at everything. I love talking about their past stories and the more we talk the more I realize how different we all are. The spirit here is so strong and it makes me feel so happy. There's so much to learn and makes me feel excited. Thanks for all the birthday wishes :) General Conference was unreal and it was nice to have it on my bday. 2 hour church will be amazing. I've learned so much about everything including myself in the past week. We finally got our regular schedules so we study in the morning and th...

MTC First Impressions

Hello family and friends!!  So I've been here for like 3 days but my P-day is today, and they have been really good. Missionary life is so busy it's crazy. We have like no time to chill. When Gav dropped me off I just got thrown into so many things given to me like my name tag and all the things I needed. I went up to a classroom and some girl a little older than me introduced me but was only speaking Tagalog. There was a bunch of Elders and Sisters that were in there practicing and she was trying to get me to say the stuff on the board. But later I learned some Elders in my district and my companion who is Elder Jewett. He's from Westpoint Utah and he's half Filipino. he does't know any Tagalog though haha. He's a cool guy and hardworking.  I have 4 people in my room and we're all going to Baguio. So we call ourselves the Baguio Boys. The other Elders are from Utah as well (classic) so its nice to stick out for being from somewhere else lol. There are...
